ColorsOnMe ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application that provides AI-powered color analysis, virtual try-ons, wardrobe management, and style recommendations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in, we collect your name and email address through Apple Sign-In (iOS) or Google Sign-In (Android). We do not collect passwords.

Photos and Selfies: When you use color analysis, virtual try-ons, or wardrobe features, you may provide photos. These photos are uploaded to our secure servers for AI processing and stored to display your results.

Analysis Results: Your color season, palette, body type analysis, and AI stylist conversations are stored to provide personalized recommendations.

Wardrobe and Journal Data: Clothing items you add to your wardrobe and journal entries you create are stored to power outfit suggestions and style tracking.

Subscription Information: If you subscribe to ColorsOnMe Premium, your subscription status is managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) through RevenueCat. We do not directly collect or store your payment details.

Usage Data: We collect limited app usage and diagnostic information to operate, protect, and improve the app. This may include feature usage, screen interactions, subscription status events, device type, app version, crash information, and similar technical performance data. We do not use this information to serve third-party advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

To perform AI color analysis and generate personalized style recommendations
To power virtual try-on features (hair color, haircut, makeup, nails)
To provide AI stylist chat responses tailored to your color season
To manage your wardrobe, outfit planning, and style journal
To manage your subscription and premium features
To improve app performance, reliability, feature quality, and user experience

3. AI Processing

Your photos and data are processed using third-party AI services:

Google Gemini via OpenRouter: We send prompts, chat messages, selected profile or style context, and images you submit for analysis features to OpenRouter, which routes those requests to Google Gemini for text and vision processing.
fal.ai and xAI Grok image models: For virtual try-on and image generation features, we send prompts, uploaded reference images, editing instructions, and related generation inputs through our fal.ai integration, including xAI Grok image-editing models where applicable, in order to create or edit images for you.

We use these AI providers only to process your requests and return the requested analysis, recommendations, or generated images to you through our app. AI requests are routed through our server-side proxy and edge-function infrastructure so provider API keys are not exposed in the mobile app. We do not use your photos to train our own AI models.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with the following protections:

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
Row Level Security (RLS) ensures you can only access your own data
API keys and secrets are stored server-side and never included in the app
Photos are stored in private, authenticated storage buckets
Service providers that process data for us are required to handle it only for the services they provide to ColorsOnMe and to apply appropriate confidentiality and security protections

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the app and that are required to use your information only for that purpose and to provide appropriate protection for it:

AI service providers (as described in Section 3) to process your requests
RevenueCat to manage subscription status
Apple/Google for authentication and subscription billing

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Delete your account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings in the app. This removes all photos, analysis results, wardrobe items, journal entries, and personal information.
Access your data: Contact us to request a copy of your data.
Withdraw consent: You can stop using the app at any time. Deleting the app does not delete your account data - use the in-app delete account option.

7. Camera and Photo Library Access

ColorsOnMe requests camera and photo library access only when you initiate a feature that requires it (color analysis, virtual try-on, wardrobe item upload). Permission is requested in context with a clear explanation of why it is needed. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

8. Children's Privacy

ColorsOnMe is designed for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days, including photos, analysis results, and all personal information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the effective date above.
